FAQ

  • Everyone is different so this is really up to you.

If you will have personal belongings with you that you don’t want to have while running, first check to see if the run club has a bag drop.

If you plan on talking at the club, you don’t need headphones.

If you need fueling gels or a snack, you can pack those for the run.

Water if you want to run with it or can leave a reusable bottle at the location.

Sometimes runners will stop at coffee shops or grab food after so make sure you have a way to pay on you (cash, Apple pay, card, etc). This is not a requirement, only if you want.

Arrive ready to run (or with your clothes to change into if they have a bag drop) and to socialize!

  • An area or space a run club will provide for you to drop/store your belongings while you run.

  • This will depend on the group. Most of the run clubs listed on this site are drop-in and free. Some may require you to RSVP in advance or join the STRAVA group to see run details.

Please always check with the run club source information directly first before going for the most up to date details.

  • Some groups specify in their details how long you should be able to run without stopping before joining.

You can also message the group and let them know your current running ability and see what they recommend.

The run clubs are always ready to welcome you when you feel ready.

  • Some run clubs add in the pace they will be running in the details of their groups.

Because run clubs are social and you talk and run at the same time, they are typically a “party pace” or “easy pace”.

  • I can’t pick a favourite, they are all unique!

I tend to join the ones that work best with my schedule and training plan and are close by.
